Mahendra Singh Dhoni, commonly known as MS Dhoni, is a former Indian cricketer and captain of the Indian national team. He is considered to be one of the greatest cricketers of all time and is known for his cool and calm demeanor on the field.

Dhoni was born on July 7, 1981, in Ranchi, Bihar (now in Jharkhand), India. He came from a humble background, with his father working as a clerk in the Indian Railways and his mother being a housewife.
