Amit Jain Birth & Early Life

Amit Jain was born on 12 November 1977 in Jaipur. Amit Jain belonged to a middle class and educated family. His mother is a housewife and his father died of cancer in 2006.

Amit Jain is married to a bottle gourd named Pihu Jain. And they also have two children, a son and a daughter. His wife also helps him a lot in business. His separate venture Girnar Software Pvt. Ltd. Yes, she sees him.

After Amit Jain completed his studies, he started working as a software engineer in Tata Consulting. Where he worked for 2 years and then left it. After this he worked in Trilogy, a software development company in 2002.

He worked in that company till 2007. He worked in that company to create a website called YourBillBuddy.com. His father died of cancer in 2006, so he left the company's work and at his home in 2006, he started Girnar Software Pvt. Ltd. Company was started. His wife Pihu Jain handles this company.

In 2008, Amit and his brother founded CarDekho while attending the Auto Expo in New Delhi and came up with the idea of starting a website with reliable information for buying and selling used and new cars.

He started a portal where he provided users with the right information about cars before they decide to buy. In the year 2009, he had a loss of Rs 1 crore in the stock market. Because of which he had no money left.

Initially they faced many difficulties, but in 2015, CarDekho grew rapidly and today the company is standing at a great place. In the year 2013, his company received funding from Sequoia Capital, a US based company.

Most others spend on marketing. For the first seven years, Amit Jain did not spend a single rupee on marketing. Even he did not create any account on Facebook, Google or Instagram, nor did he do any brand advertisement. The information they provided was their marketing strategy.
